If you need a powerful truck, consider one of the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado HD models. The Silverado 2500 HD and Silverado 3500 HD both offer the brawn you need for tough jobs as well as helpful equipment inside and out.

Powerful performance

As expected of a heavy-duty truck, the 2022 Silverado HD comes packed with power. The 2500 HD models offer up to 18,510 pounds of maximum towing, while 3500 HD models up the capacity to a staggering 36,000 pounds of max towing. Under the hood, a 6.6-liter V8 comes standard and delivers 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque. It can haul up to a 17,370-pound trailer and comes paired to a six-speed automatic transmission.

If you want even more power, you can upgrade to a 6.6-liter Duramax® turbo-diesel V8 instead, which churns out 445 horsepower and a whopping 910 lb-ft of torque. It comes paired with a 10-speed Allison® transmission and supports up to 26,000 pounds of maximum trailering.

Functional design

It's not just the engines that give the Silverado HD so much utility - it was designed from the ground up to make your life easier. Integrated bed steps make it easy to reach into your bed, and extending trailering mirrors come with a variety of lighting options so you can better see your trailer. Available LED cargo area lighting keeps the bed well-lit too, and an available 120-volt outlet allows you to charge tools right from your truck.

The Durabed truck bed offers the highest cargo volume in its segment, along with 12 standard tie-downs to help secure your cargo. You can also opt for the available Multi-Flex Tailgate, which lets you configure your tailgate into two different load stops, a step for easy access, or a work surface if you need to write or use a computer on the job. It can even fold in half to allow you to reach further into the bed.

At the front of the truck, you'll find a removable skid plate and front air dam, designed to make it easier to mount a snowplow. Inside the cabin, you can take advantage of available storage compartments in the rear seatback, a first for the segment, or the 24-liter storage compartment under the rear seats, both of which offer you plenty of space for gear and tools aplenty.

Practical technology

The Silverado HD comes packed with smart technology to help you get the job done. An available 15-inch head-up display projects driving information right onto the windshield, so you don't have to take your eyes off the road to check your interior displays. A system of 15 available cameras helps you keep an eye on your cargo, letting you see a hitch view, a bed view, and even a transparent trailer view, so you can tow through tricky maneuvers with confidence.

You can also use the segment-first Advanced Trailering System through your infotainment center or the myChevrolet mobile app on your phone. This handy technology lets you create custom trailer profiles that make hitching and towing a breeze. It also lets you create maintenance reminders, pre-departure checklists, and more.

Modern safety suite

To keep you safe on your travels, the Silverado HD offers a wide array of available safety technologies. Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, Lane Departure Warning, and Forward Collision Alert help keep you safe while you're moving, alerting you to potential crashes and even helping you brake to avoid them. The Safety Alert Seat uses directional vibration pulses within the driver's seat to tell you which direction a collision may occur from, so you can avoid it more easily.

Available Front and Rear Park Assist can help you maneuver into tight parking spots, while Rear Cross Traffic Alert helps keep you safe when you're backing out of one. Teen Driver technology comes standard, to help you keep your youngsters safe while they learn to drive, and available IntelliBeam® headlights can automatically switch to and from your high beams.
