2026 Chevy Suburban

Chevy’s largest SUV returns to Ressler Chevrolet for 2026, bigger and better than ever. The 3-row Chevy SUV is one of two full-size family SUVs in the Chevy family, the other being the smaller Chevy Tahoe. While both are massive, the Suburban’s extended wheelbase makes it well-suited for large families who need to maximize the third row and truck. Like the Tahoe, the Chevy Suburban shares a platform with the ever-popular Chevy Silverado 1500, making the Suburban a durable, practical choice for battling Montana’s winter months. The Chevy Suburban is a year old, revamped through a significant refresh that included a new look, sweeping displays, and updates to various technologies. The refresh helped the Chevy SUV leap to the top of critics’ lists, earning a 10/10 rating from review sites like Car and Driver. Below, we’ll preview everything you need to know about the new Chevy SUV, from the Chevy Suburban fuel economy to the engine options. 2026 Chevy Suburban Towing Capacity and Performance

The new Suburban comes with your choice of three engines, all of which are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and a standard RWD drivetrain. AWD is available as well. Most Suburbans get a 5.3-liter V-8, making 355 horsepower, but if you’re looking for a little more power, there’s a 6.2-liter V-8 that makes 420 horsepower instead. A 3.0-liter diesel Inline 6 is also available, offering 305 horsepower and 495 lb-ft of torque. It’s the most fuel-efficient choice of the bunch, getting 21 mpg city and 26 mpg highway. The base gas model is rated to get 15 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the open road. Towing capacity is stout, with the Suburban able to haul 7,800 to 8,300 lbs, depending on your powertrain. Behind the rear row, you’ll find 41.5 cubic feet of cargo volume, increasing to 93.8 cubic feet behind the second row, and a class-leading 144.7 cubic feet of total cargo volume. As the Suburban lumbers into 2026, you have six trim levels to choose from:

Trim Level: MSRP:
2026 Chevy Suburban LS $63,700
2026 Chevy Suburban LT $66,700
2026 Chevy Suburban RST $71,700
2026 Chevy Suburban Z71 $73,700

No matter which trim level you opt for, you’ll find the Suburban delivers best-in-class infotainment displays, tons of safety technology, and plenty of features. 2026 Suburban Safety Rating and Technology

One of the biggest changes Chevy made when it updated the Suburban was to the infotainment system. It’s been transformed into a 17.7-inch display that’s angled towards the driver, making it easier to connect to Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and your Wi-Fi hotspot. It’s joined by an 11.0-inch digital gauge cluster, which sits right behind the steering wheel. Optional technology options include a rear-seat entertainment system and a Bose stereo system. The Chevy Suburban earned a five-star safety rating from the NHTSA for 2026, highlighting its family sensibilities and build quality. It also comes equipped with an impressive array of standard driver assistance features, including automated emergency braking, lane keeping assistance, and pedestrian detection.
